I have been a reading specialist for 30 years in a K-5 school. I am a certified dyslexia specialist with a doctorate in education. I screen children for dyslexia to determine if your child fits the profile for dyslexia, provide suggestions for classroom accommodations, and provide recommendations on how to tutor your child.  I also provide tutoring support for dyslexic students and  author individualized stories (which include the student and their friends as main characters) at the student’s ability level. These stories motivate students to read and promote fluency. I can help you determine your child's educational needs and help put them on a path to success.

Science has moved forward at a rapid pace so that we now possess the data to reliably define dyslexia, to know it’s prevalence, it’s cognitive basis, it’s symptoms and remarkably, where it lives in the brain and evidence-based
interventions which can turn a sad, struggling child into not only a good reader, but one who sees herself as a student with self-esteem and a fulfilling future.
